Little Treasures

I've been going through my "to scrap" pile and found a few things that were a total freak out! I found a little note I'd left the tooth fairy when I was eight. It said, "I had my two front teeth pulled today. Can I keep them?" In tiny writing at the bottom it said "Sure. Bye-bye! XOXO." I don't still have the teeth. I also found a note from my mom to my Jr High P.E. teacher, asking her to excuse me from activity because I sprained my thumb playing church basketball. My favorite was a tiny note with a name outside, and on the inside it said, "Michelle's friendship bracelets! 10 cents! 10 colors! See you at recess!" Oh my HECK!! Are you kidding me? That was from Elementary School...now I remember, I had made one for each of my classmates at put them on their chairs with a name on each note. Wow I was a little entrepreneuer. Why didn't I major in business? I remember trying to start a restaurant several times and other little business adventures. I was a very strange child I think...

Jack 'O Lantern Soup

So how did the Fairy Godmother manage to turn a soup bowl into a pumpkin? It must be magic...and it's gotta be Halloween. Our Bishopric spoils us rotten and their wives get in on the fun in a big way. FHE was soup and other goodies at one of the Counselors' houses. I about freaked at the cuteness of these unique breadbowls dyed to look like pumpkins. They said they got them from Dan's. I don't know if I can ever go back to a home ward...we are totally spoiled. My Bishopric rocks! Yes, I know that's printed on some T-shirt somewhere and at this point I'd totally wear it. Wow, what a little food coloring will do to entertain me! They seriously put in so much effort for us. Amazing!

My Binge

I am usually so good at resisting the temptation lately of spending money on myself. Cute T-shirt, nah. New necklace, I can live without it. No problem. Well...I cracked. I stopped at Down East Basics in South Towne Mall on Saturday, in searches of a certain black dress. I wanted to try it on, just to prove to myself how good I was at resisting, and to prove the fact, I didn't need the dress...even though I have yet in my life to ever own a "little black dress."

Success! It fit horribly! I looked as wide as a bus, not to mention totally pregnant. Wow that would be awkward...so I decided to try another style, in black. I wasn't totally crazy about the design....until I tried it on. Blast! Oh it fits so perfect and I look skinny! Oh my gosh! Now what? Hmm...well, I debated for a few minutes, carrying the dress and wand
ering the store. I was examining a denim dress that looked cute on the hanger, but...hmm...I'm curious. You'll never guess what happened next. Perfect!! Man I'm in so much trouble. So I ended up buying two dresses. Hey, I have to wear a skirt everyday to work. I think I deserve it. Next time I go shopping I'm bringing $20 cash and leaving my cards home. But they're oh so CUTE!!! Being a girl is so fun sometimes. :)

See!! Do you blame me? I know, I know...stop trying to convince myself.
